Your program and concept allows for a reliable and consistent method to evaluate obvious and visible damage repair costs and as such allows more accurate claims evaluation.

I would like to say that this has got to be one of the most user friendly estimating programs I have tested. As we all know that there are very few estimating programs out there for the marine industry. This program almost does the work for you. Put in the proper measurements and the calculation is on.
I spoke with Steve on the phone several months ago when I was researching soft ware. He took the time to speak with me in depth about his program. He also listened to my needs and suggestions as well. He seemed very open to the thought process of the person using the program and ideas that might make the program better in the field.
I have written a sample estimate and shown it to our clients. They All agree that they like the program as much as we do. All of them want us to use this program for them.

I have been reviewing and working with your programmer these past few months on your program to estimate fiberglass damage estimates. Working with the insurance industry in the area of marine damage claims is often an emotional roller coaster ride for the insured owner on a damaged boat. Boats are often one of the most expensive luxury items (toy) that consumers purchase. When one is damaged it often results in lost recreational time to the owner. Generally getting the boat to a repair facility and back on the water is the clients first and foremost concern.
Fiberglass repair is unlike other damage claims work in that the repair process is somewhat inconsistent throughout the industry. Take your boat to three shops and you will have a wide range of estimates. For the company adjuster that may or may not be familiar with marine craft, a simple to read yet concise report with photographic documentation and a standard estimate is what they need to complete their process. Having worked several hurricane catastrophe events for several major insurers, I can attest there is a myriad of surveyor’s reports submitted to the carriers.
Congratulations to you and your staff. You have created a simple to use report format that contains the information needed by my client, the insurance company, so they may complete their claims work. While experience in the field is needed to adjust the final figures, your program certainly puts the information in the ballpark and in an easy to read report. The expansion of the photograph section gives the adjuster an up close look at what is described in the narrative. The report is professional looking and I would hope one day is a standard.

I would like to thank you for developing such a user friendly product. I have worked in repair shops since 1975 and have seen and used many repair order programs. However, none of them were easy to use and still depended on the user’s experience to determine how long a fiberglass repair may take to complete. Your product does provide accurate repair times based on the square foot method.
I personally have used a square foot method when previously determining repair costs as well as teaching the system to other surveyors that perform catastrophic damage claim work with a CAT team of which I am also a member.
